Young Depressed Shepherd Dumped at High Kill Shelter, Is All Out of Tears To Cry

I am sure that in your travels in this life, you have more than likely heard the catchphrase, “life isn’t fair.” A quick visit to the Carson Animal Shelter in Gardena, California, will help you understand the true meaning of fairness in life and that catchphrase altogether. As you walk by each kennel cage, you will heartbreakingly witness dogs, cats, and other animals stare back at you with the saddest eyes, begging you to take a chance on them.

However, politics is politics at the end of the day at Carson, and most who enter the high kill facility will never see the light of day. That’s because the dogs and cats living in the facility are given just weeks, and sometimes even just days to find forever families before the predictable happens: euthanasia.

For one sweet, German shepherd pup named Princess, her life took quite the unexpected turn. After two years of showing her owner nothing but loyalty and devotion, that wasn’t enough to please her owner. And so one day, he gathered all of her belongings and mercilessly surrendered her to Carson, so he could get the “fresh start” he was looking for according to a source familiar with her intake who wishes to remain anonymous for this story.

Princess, like all shepherds, is a highly intelligent dog and knows exactly what’s going on. During the day, she can be seen graciously greeting shelter patrons showing off her impeccable manners, and even more impeccable charm.

However, after being denied so many times, the poor pup has stopped trying. Today, you can find Princess tucked away in the corner of her kennel, weeping herself to sleep on a cold concrete slab, that doubles as her bed. There are no more tears to cry.
